Transport for special equipment.Types of semi-trailers for transportation of special equipment
The following types of semi-trailers for transporting special equipment are distinguished:
- Low-bed trawls or low loaders with a low loading platform with the ability to drive onto the platform. In this case, the equipment drives onto the platform from behind along the ramps.
- The “trough” type low loader allows the vehicle to drive forward. In this case, the loading area is unhooked and the tractor drives off, allowing the equipment to drive onto the platform at a minimum angle.
- Modules-heavy trucks are used exclusively for the transport of particularly complex cargoes weighing up to 600 tons.
- High-framed road train platforms. Often used to transport containers, they can transport goods weighing up to 110 tons.
