The weight, volume, and dimensions of the cargo must not exceed the established limits. Loading and unloading of goods is carried out through the front and rear cargo hatches. The maximum allowable dimensions and weight of cargo depend on the model of the aircraft: for example, the maximum payload of the Tu-134A is 8600 kg; for smaller aircraft (An-24RV) – loading up to 5000 kg, maximum cargo dimensions: 1.5 X 0.8 X 0.6 m in the front trunk and 0.7 X 1 X 1.5 in the rear trunk. The commercial loading of air transportation can reach up to 13,500 – 18,000 kg, depending on the technical characteristics of the aircraft. Thus, the An-124-100 super-heavy transport aircraft is capable of transporting various cargoes with a total weight of up to 120 tons.
